WIDI’s mission: To prevent gender discrimination and violence across all forms of digital technology, and to empower women in the digital age.
Established in 2014, WIDI is composed of scholars, experts, and practitioners in the field of gender studies, communication, social work, and mental health, as well as members from the Control Yuan and the Legislative Yuan.
We are committed to promoting reform initiatives, raising awareness within the government and our society of the realities of gender-based violence in the digital world. We are here to change the culture of misogyny, bridge the gap of regulations, empower victims of gender-based crimes, and encourage every woman and girl to voice out in digital channels.
Together we can achieve equality in Taiwan.
